Automatically splits your longer posts into multiple pages on the paragraph boundaries.
The plugin respects posts which have been manually paginated, and doesn’t mess with your changes to the pagination which is automatically added. There is an option to “force pagination” which will override all current pagination and put in the page breaks according to the settings you’ve chosen.
To set the preferred number of words per page, see the new setting available in Settings > Writing in the WordPress administration screens.

- Plugin first sees the light of day.
Where are the options for this plugin? Once installed, how are options set, access, viewed? It isn’t showing up ANYWHERE in my admin panel, even after viewing source and looking for any link to options for it.
There are only two controls for this plugin:
On the post edit screen there’s a “Force repagination” checkbox: normally Auto Paginate only paginates a post on the first run through, after that you need to tick this to re-flow the pagination.
On the “Writing” page of the WordPress “Settings” in the admin area there’s a “Preferred words per page” field where you can enter the number of words you would like on each page. Auto Paginate will attempt to use this intelligently and not break your writing in mid-paragraph.
Hope that helps.
Thank you for making the plugin, by the way! I’m running WordPress 2.9.2 with php5.
works a treat. great little plugin thanks.
Hi. Does your plugin has any option to change the title of the different multi part pages? thanks
Hi,
Thank you first for this amazing plugin !
How can I force auto paging for all my posts in one click?
Thank you in advance.
OMG!! when I gave it a try it messed up with CSS!!!
What did that happen?
Even when I uninstalled the plug in it remained messed up!
Hello!
Installed the plugin,
and have a question.
The structure of a paginated post is this, after activation:
-Post
-Bookmarks
-Related posts
-Post auto paginate numbers
How can i make this structure:
-Post
-Post auto paginate numbers
-Bookmarks
-Related posts
How would one go about styleing the page numbers? They default to ” tags – would like to add a class/id to this – attempted to add a class to the ” in class-Autopaginate.php but it seemed to have no effect.
Awesome plugin though – thank!
