Need a WordPress developer for some additional functionality (a plugin), theme creation or an entire WordPress site? Get in touch and we can discuss what you need. I’ve got experience working with WordPress and WordPress Mu, to create both standard blogs and as a quick and easy CMS for a more standard website.

Below are various plugins I’ve developed, all open source licensed and available for anyone to use. (If you find any of the plugins useful, you may wish to consider a completely optional donation via PayPal.)

  • TinyMCE Excerpt: This is a simple plugin that enables rich text editing on the excerpt field.
  • Intermittent Date:Adds a template tag for use on pages which list posts, and to be used within The Loop. Outputs a date header to split up the post listings. See the_date() template tag docs for usage.
Example: <?php intermittent_date( ‘jS F Y’, “<h3 class=’date-header’>”, “</h3>” ); ?>, will produce an header like “15th April 2008″. It’s up to you to style it with CSS then (although your theme may handle this for you).
  • Exclude Pages: This plugin adds a checkbox, “include this page in menus”, which is checked by default. If you uncheck it, the page will not appear in any listings of pages (which includes, and is usually limited to, your page navigation menus). Admin listings of pages are unaffected.
  • Last.FM Events: This plugin adds a widget to display your upcoming events (gigs) from Last.FM, with options for displaying full venue details, linking, etc. Events are displayed using valid hCal Microformat code (makes no difference to the display, but plays nicer with the web in general).
  • Useless Plugin: A proof of concept for messaging a user with unmet requirements when they activate a plugin, rather than falling over in a heap of code errors. May be useful to plugin developers.
