  • Lotus f’ing notes. Why don’t you just have me carve the email design on a stone tablet with my off hand and my eyes shut? #
  • Rewatching the X Files, I hadn’t realised that Smoking Man was in it from the beginning, even the pilot. #

  • I hate it when first line support staff reply with an assumption that I’m an idiot, without reading the previous evidence I’ve sent in. #
  • By all means assume I’m an idiot, I may well be, but only after you’ve actually read what I’ve sent you. #

  • Watching the Activity Monitor while exporting a QuickTime movie from Flash, Flash is using 103% of the CPU… ?? #

  • They’re cutting down the Acacia tree behind us; not great from an environmental viewpoint, but it will mean we get summer sun after 1pm. #
  • Finished entering 134 receipts into a spreadsheet, one step closer to the completing my last minute tax return! #
  • Oh no… just found another folder of receipts. Back to Excel then… #

  • Good lord above getting Win98 onto Parallels is so ridiculously hard. #
  • With Parallels, I do like the idea that Windows installs are contained… floating in a virtual bell jar filled with imaginary formaldehyde. #
  • "Print and sign please" I hate writing on those delivery driver’s handhelds, it makes my writing look even more like a 5 yr old’s than usual #
  • Extraordinarily blatantly sexual game of chess in the original Thomas Crown Affair. #
  • The kissing scene which follows is just weird though, by modern standards. #

  • Just "invested" in Windows 2000 and Windows 98 for testing purposes. So much money just to test, still… it’s got to be done. #
  • vi may be powerful, vi may be very very clever and better than anything else; that doesn’t alter the fact that it utterly mystifies me. #
