If you wait long enough then someone, somewhere on the internet, will build what you're thinking; and so (via Kottke) in swaggers MovieStamper. It's not TV, and it's not allowing the viewing of video streams, but it's still pretty darned interesting. For example: moments tagged as Christian Bale, or comment on various moments throughout American Psycho.

Hi Richard, it's amazing how many things I wanted to go to on Saturday, I could have filled another half a day at least. When I was a kid I didn't have a TV, any time I got to a friends house I was glued to it (but let's not get into the Python routine, locally appropriate as it might be!)
