Hold down F12 for 2 seconds to eject a CD or DVD. Especially useful for those situations where the CD/DVD icon hasn’t appeared on the desktop for some reason.
“A Java package which provides a simple API to allow conversion between OSGB (Ordnance Survey of Great Britain) grid references, UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) references and latitude and longitude.” (More grist for the Arts & Kids events listing.)
“A primer on coordinate system concepts, including full information on GPS and Ordnance Survey coordinate systems.” Useful for converting latitude/longditude into OS co-ordinates (which we’re looking at for an events listing guide for Arts & Kids).
Research into the relevance and importance of source order, skip links and structural labels for screen readers: Screen reader users expect the main navigation to be presented before the information content; source order is not relevant to screen readers.

It is [this guy's] argument that “It will take less time and effort to fill up the right aligned form in comparison with the left aligned one”. Seems compelling, maybe I need to re-examine my forms in Startershop? (via Snook)
A space invader made with ceramic tiles as the pixels. I saw one of these in Manchester recently, near the Palace Hotel, but didn’t have a camera with me. They look great.
Finally I get around to updating my site to use something more sophisticated than hand written HTML. It’s a start.
